Damage should be to all the cars., can't wait to have a go in the Bugatti Veyron at TopGear test track, or the Nurburgring ( I believe those tracks will be the most used and youtubed - with lap times to beat )...
Here in Australia prices are still a bit steep, saw a big print ad on one of the dailies - AU$498 = US$415
It has lost all the shiny plastics and chromey bits from it big brother but at least all the necessary features and connection are still there.
Clearly show it's still early stages, as for Solberg's Subaru the only car to sustain damage means Sony/Polyphony is merely "demoing" this one car to show how it would look like during this "trial development" of a collision.
I think the final product will have debris flying, glass getting cracked and shattered in larger crashes, scrapes and dents on bodywork and maybe wheels falling-off in a few instances.
Well this are still mere speculations but I also think Sony and Polyphony studios are giving out hints at a much quicker and shorter span of space from time-to-time...
...hints (1) have been hiring more CGI artist/staff..
(2) just released new PS3 slim to coincide with a possible bundle deal in Christmas or New Year perhaps..

I believe we're being ripped-off again in Australia... says in the U.S., PS3 slim would retail for about US$299 = AU$360 but have seen a big print-out on of the papers here that reads ( "bargain new PS3 slim AU$498 ) = *US$414!
I do prefer Splinter Cell over MSG just because the story is more realistic and I like how they can put bits of conspiracy theory plots you may notice in a few parts during gameplay.
Forza 3 has the Datsun 510 while GranTurismo 5 will have the Bugatti Veyron + "classic" Lamborghini Countach LP400...
I do think rewind is somewhat lame as well, but there is also value with this sort of feature, only that it's not for this type of game... I 'm thinking more with professional race car drivers, they can use this feature to know and reconfigure their driving styles when practicing on this sort of sim., this would work with on-line "true" sim-game like ( iracing ).

Codemasters should simply rename it ( Dirt2 - Ken Block a new era... or something they could maybe think up ) since this game doesn't have the signature of Colin McRae and out of respect for the legend.
Nothing against the game thought it look very nice and all but honestly if this was done in the real world that Bimmer wouldn't last very long at that distance... it's too low to the ground ( dirt, gravel, snow rallycars are modified higher to the ground except tarmac ) this car belongs to a different class of racing.
I think it's safe to say to actually compare this to Alice in Wonderland...
This will be a good game, best thing they did was to finally put in c*ckpit view, not sure about re-wind option though ( when you make a mistake and can go back to change outcome ) the backdrops and road corrugations are also a big plus.
Sucks though that I can't use my G25 wheel and have to settle for XBox360 control pad...
